The Verna Lemon is a very special traditional lemon variety. It’s the most commonly grown variety in Spain and it has a significant place in cuisine from that region. It is also exported throughout Europe.
It’s a sought after variety to grow here in Australia as it produces its largest crop of lemons during our Summer months, ahead of many other varieties. Perfect for all those cold refreshing drinks in the warm months.
A mature Verna Lemon tree can produce 2-3 crops a year. It’s a versatile fruit with good juice and zest which lends itself to using fresh, juicing, garnishing a dish (paella, anyone?!) or making into preserves.
Similar to other traditional varieties it has thorns that act as a natural defence against predators.

Tree Options / Variations
We may stock our fruit trees in a variety of options. In general, the advanced and extra-advanced trees are taller and more mature than the standard trees and will likely start fruiting sooner. If you have any questions about which is the best option for you, please contact us to discuss.
Most dwarf fruit trees are pot-friendly and can comfortably be kept to a size that suits smaller spaces like courtyards, balconies and verandas and planted out into smaller spaces.
