Sudachi are a rare and sought after citrus variety. Sometimes referred to as a Japanese Lime, they in fact share a genetic heritage with the Yuzu and are believed to be a naturally occurring hybrid.

Sudachi are recorded as having been used in Japanese cooking for centuries. They have a special place in Japanese cuisine and a slice is often served with a wide range of meals to squeeze over the dish. It's also added to drinks and used to flavour desserts and ice-cream.

The fruit are a dark green but if left on the tree for extended periods of time it will begin to lighten. The juice has a unique, refreshing, zingy tart flavour that is considered both delicious and unique.

Most dwarf fruit trees are pot-friendly and can comfortably be kept to a size that suits smaller spaces like courtyards, balconies and verandas and planted out into smaller spaces.
